"The" Cookie Recipe

Nothing makes any day better than a goey, yummy home made chocolate chip cookie!
I am sure everyone has their "go-to" recipe when it comes to making chocolate chips but seriously... there is something about these cookies!! Every time I make them, they disappear SO fast! I chalk it up to the vanilla that I got from Mexico that I use.  Whatever is, you HAVE to try these!!
(recipe adapted from here)

What you need:
  • 1 bag of chocolate chunks
  • 2 3/4 cups of all purpose Flour
  • 1/4 or pinch of Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup of white Sugar
  • 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup of butter, softened

Make it:
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened butter, the brown and white sugar and the eggs. Beat until it is light and creamy.
  • Next, add baking soda and vanilla and mix of another minute or two.
  • Add the flour slowly and make sure everything is incorporated.
  • Stir in the chocolate chunks.
  • Form batter in to approx. 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-12 minutes. I like to make sure they are just turning brown and then take them out and let them cool on the pan. They will continue to cook while on the pan. Just make sure you don't over cook them! :)

Thanks for checking out the goodies of today!

  1. Yummmm! Now I'm craving a cookie! My "secret ingredient" to super soft cookies is to add in a pack of vanilla pudding - just the powder! So good :)

    1. My mom totally does that with the package of vanilla-- YUM!

  2. LOVE cookies, and I prefer chocolate chunks over chips any day.

    Thanks for linking up! :)

  3. You can't go wrong with Chocolate Chip cookies! These look so yummy!

  4. I haven't made cookies from scratch in years! These look delicious prob because chocolate chip is my favorite type of cookie! Thanks for linking up your recipe lady!

    1. Thanks so much! Thanks again for hosting Emily! ;)

  5. I'm not a huge chocolate fan (I know how un-American) but my boyfriend is enough for the both of us. I usually just make the recipe on the back of the Nestle Tollhouse bag :) But I'll definitely have to give this recipe a try. Did you prefer making it with chunks instead of chips?

  6. Chocolate chunks are way better than chocolate chips... Maybe I should start throwing in a few chocolate bars and really make it amazing? ;)
I'll have to try your recipe. I usually just use the same one every time, but I'm totally up for trying a new one! :)
Thanks so much for linking up to Delicious Dish Tuesday last week! We hope you'll come by again this week and share another tasty recipe!
