Looks Lately v3.0

(image from Pinterest)

I had to laugh the other day when my husband was confused why I was wearing cobalt blue wedges to run some errands and stop pick up a few things at Costco. I promptly responded that I wore them because they matched my outfit of course! ;)

Wearing scrubs for 12 hours 3-4 times a week a lot of times I love dressing up on my days off even if it is to run errands! I enjoy putting outfits together and expressing some of my creativity that way.
If you look good, you feel good too!

Have you ever felt all put together or loved the outfit you were wearing
and noticed a change in your mood??

Graphic Tank: {4} Ways

1 GRAPHIC TANK, 4 WAYS

A graphic tee/tank is great and comfy and today I have styled it four different ways so that you can wear it almost anywhere!
Throw it on with shorts out to run errands, with some skinnies out with the girls, to the office with a blazer and heels or with a skirt for date night!
One of these times I will grab my husband to take some pictures for me but until then you get my "real average" selfies! ;)

**Graphic tank featured in these four outfits is from Kohl's.

Closet Remix Challenge: Week Two

Week two of the Closet Remix Challenge proved to be full of temptation. With the Spring season approaching, I have seen many new styles and trends that have enticed me to want to shop!! Prior to this challenge I would frequently make many impulse buys simply because I thought [said item] was something I just HAD to have RIGHT then. This week I resisted the urge to buy several things on impulse; reflecting to myself: "How often would I really wear that pair of shoes?" and "Is that shirt really something that I need to buy right now?". I may not be moving mountains over here but I am getting over some small obstacles!! Now, let's get to the recap of days 9-15.

Jeans: Old Navy
Flats: Charlotte Russe
Watch & Bracelet: Macy's

Day 15: Another Pinned-it-Did-it

Cardigan: Old Navy
Chambray: Kohl's
Boots: Aldo
Necklace: VeryJane

I want this month's challenge to be an honest and open one so I must confess to you that I did make a purchase this week... Despite being able to reason with other temptations and impulses, Kohl's did get the best of me. My mom just so happened to send me some AWESOME Kohl's coupons (30% off, $10 Kohl's cash and two $5 coupons) that I could not resist using! But, I did only buy one top and it totaled $7!! My husband used up the rest of these awesome deals and bought himself a couple pairs of jeans.
I knew going in to this challenge that it would be just that--- a challenge! I do not necessarily see this as a failure in my journey this month for I feel like I have made some significant improvements and I am realizing just how many clothes I really already have! I plan to continue to carry out my no shopping agreement for the rest of this month and continue to gain a control my shopping habit in future months. Let's just say this is a minor hiccup! :)

How are you planning to transition your wardrobe from Winter to Spring?
Are there staples that you have that makes the switch a little easier?

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend! Don't forget--- Tuesday is Recipe Day so stop back for this week's recipe!

Four Favorites: Spring Inspiration

Happy Wednesday!! I'm excited to be linking up with two lovely ladies today (Ashlyn from Let It Be Beautiful Blog and Kristin from Fancy Things Blog) to share my four favorite things: Spring Edition!  This winter seems to be dragging on and on so this post is the perfect refresher!

Four of my favorite Spring Inspirations are:

When I think Spring, I think love to think of
pastels and pretty soft colors! Insert: the color Mint!
I love mint jeans, mint bracelets, mint necklaces, really
anything in the color is awesome for Spring! Especially
mixed with coral!

2. Flowers
The pretty colors of a fresh bouquet are
just the thing to brighten your day from this long, dull winter!

Essie has some fabulous colors
that just scream Spring! Two that I have
just purchased: "The Girls Are Out" and "Wife Goes On"

Nude and neutral colors are
great for Spring! Like a soft, fresh pallet!
And I just adore a pair of nude flats.

What is your inspiration for Spring? Do you have a certain color that you are excited for this Spring season? What are you most looking forward to?

Linking up with:
