Hello Friday!

Excited to be joining in on the link up Oh, hey Friday!
It is my scheduled weekend to work but I was able to do some trading and got the holiday weekend off!! WOO-HOO!!
Here are my five things...

O N E

The hubby and I are going shopping at the outlets today!
I hope we find some good deals!!
I am in search of some new shoes for work, some new boots for Fall, and possibly any other good deals I find.

I have to be a little bit careful at the outlets as we are now a more strict budget! Tuesday is the start of a 28 month journey as my husband heads back to school for Nurse Anesthesia! It will be an interesting 2 and 1/2 years but I am sure in hind sight it will go by fast!! And it is going to be SO worth it!

Saturday we will be celebrating my niece's 2nd birthday and I am so excited
that I was able to snag a barbie jeep for her at a garage sale in practically new condition for only $60 (regularly like $250-$300)!!! SCORE!

F O U R

I recently cut off 9 inches of my hair and I am still loving it! I was afraid that after the new-ness of it I would be a little indifferent and miss my longer hair but I haven't yet! I actually find my shorter hair some-what easier to manage and it feels WAY healthier!!

Summer is quickly coming to an end and I want to know... what is your Fall style?!?

     Game Day Attire

Today I am doing a different take on What I Wore Wednesday (#wiww, #wiw) with game day attire! Summer is quickly coming to an end and Fall is fast approaching, which means back-to-school, cooler temperatures, and FOOTBALL SEASON!! Soon your Sundays will become weekly gatherings over your favorite apps and drinks while surrounding the TV and cheering on your favorite teams.

This game day look is not only sporty but also chic; featuring a jersey from my favorite team (Go Lions!! Hey, I know they suck but it's hometown support!! Find your favorite team/player at Fanatics and support them with your look!). The leather leggings and fabulous arm party add the perfect feminine touches!

Now you are ready to tackle anything that comes your way on game day! Get ready for tailgates and fantasy leagues! Kick off begins Thursday, September 4 at 8:30 pm!

Transformation Tuesday

Transformation Tuesday today will reveal my before and after hair cut pictures. Yesterday I cut off about 9 inches of my hair. It was SO time for it to be done! The ends were very dry and splitting. It feels so light, fresh, and so much healthier now!!

Now I will have to get work giving you some tips on how to style short hair!
Or, hair styling ideas!

Have a great Tuesday! Stay dry!

Italian Pasta Salad

The best compliment to last week's burger recipe is a yummy pasta salad. The two together make the perfect summer pair. I love pasta salads in the summer; super easy to make, refreshing, and cool!!
Here is my husband's favorite pasta salad that I make {year round} because he likes it that much!

{Summer} Italian Pasta Salad

Ingredients:
~1 box of bow tie (or your choice) of pasta
~1 bottle of Italian dressing (I often eyeball it, but use about 1/2-3/4 of a bottle)
~1 bag of cubed colby jack cheese
~1 large or 2 small bell peppers, cut up and diced
~salami deli meat
~package of pepperoni

Make it!

1. Make pasta according to directions on box.
2. When pasta is done, drain and rinse under cold water.
3. Slice and dice: bell pepper, salami, and pepperoni.
(I used about 6-7 pieces of deli salami and about 1/2 a package of pepperonis
4. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
5. Enjoy!!

Dreams of a Carrie Bradshaw closet!!

I think after watching Sex and the City, every woman dreams of having their own "Big" to build them their very own Carrie Bradshaw closet!
How lovely would that be! All of your favorites displayed for you to see!!
Being that our house was built in the 1950's, closet space is pretty limited for a
 fashionista-shopaholic!
Ever since seeing the idea of turning a room in to a walk-in-closet while scrolling away on Pinterest one day I have wanted to make it a dream come true for me!
I have been sharing some sneak peeks but now  I want to share with you my finished product... my very own walk-in-closet complete with sparkly chandelier!

Jewelry display:

This was hand built by a friend of a friend and gifted to me!
I love being able to display all my sparkles and statements this way!!

More features of the room:

Every walk-in-closet needs to be complete with a chandelier right!?!?

I was so excited to find these cute baskets at the local Meijer... perfect for my sandals and flats!!

Every fashionista walk-in-closet also needs a dressing mirror too!

One of my favorite parts:

Instead of preserving my wedding dress, I wanted to still be able to see it everyday because I LOVED it!!
It was such a stunning gown and I am so glad I chose to hang it in my room.
I am glad that I was able to find this wallpaper too... it is perfect! Totally tops off the room!

Thanks so much for checking out my transformation, I hope you liked it!!
Have a great day!
